Welcome to Glasgow City Foundation

Glasgow City Foundation was formed as a SCIO in 2015 to enable the delivery of programs that focus on the health and education of girls and women through sport. In particular The Foundation  enables and empowers over 130 girls and women through our extensive football academy  for 6 – 17 year olds.  We work in partnership with Glasgow City FC, Scotland's most successful women's football team. The Foundation is regulated by OSCR  and operated by a Board of Trustees who provide oversight and guidance around the objectives of the Foundation. Day to day activities are managed by Head of Operations and our Academy Manager. In addition the Foundation reaches out to children in local schools through our various Community Programs delivering free football and educational sessions. This also extends to Walking Football and Recreational Football for women. Working in partnership with Glasgow City FC we offer Role Model sessions with primary and secondary schools as well as a Sister Club initiative.
