Glasgow City Foundation are now accepting applications for the role of “Sports Therapist” to work within our Next Generation Programme
ROLE DESCRIPTION – NEXT GENERATION PERFORMANCE PROGRAMME SPORTS THERAPIST
| RESPONSIBILITIES | |
| 1. Helping prepare players both mentally and physically to reduce the risk of injury. 2. Assessing injuries and developing treatment plans alongside the club physio. 3. Providing treatment, which can include massage, taping and electrotherapy 4. Drawing up rehabilitation plans to restore full fitness alongside the club physio 5. Attending and Observing matches 6. Giving first aid if required 7. Checking injuries and strappings during matches 8. Making decisions about whether athletes and players can continue 9. Administering treatment for minor injuries such as bruises, strains and blisters 10. Referring individuals to appropriate sports and medical practitioners for further treatment 11. Collaborating with trainers and coaches on injury prevention programmes. | |

| HND in Sports Therapy Children’s Wellbeing in Scottish FA Satisfactory PVG Scheme Membership | |
| SKILLS | |
| Good organisation and communication skills Reliable, trustworthy and approachable and Ability to maintain records in an ordered and confidential manner | |
| COMMITMENTS/SALARY | |
| Saturday home matches 10:30am-1pm (weekly) £50 per match | |
